North Mesa is a rural elementary school of approximately 400 students located in Pueblo County. The demographics of NME are a mixture of students from professional families with strong home support, and low-income families. NME has had a huge influx of students from outside our boundaries and school district. Our accountability team along with PTA members met in September and October of 2024. The team consists of parents, staff, community, and accountability members. We considered three year…
s of data related to performance trends. That data includes CMAS achievement data, NWEA achievement data, iReady Diagnostic achievement data, DIBELS achievement data, growth data, and item analysis. We sat down as a group and looked at the above-mentioned data. The group then identified root causes for the school's trends (positive and negative) for each indicator area. The team then prioritized the performance indicators that could be addressed with resources available.
