About Frisco Elementary School (8374)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Frisco Elementary School

2025-2026

Frisco Elementary is a small community-based school in the resort town of Frisco, Colorado. Our school is an IB/PYP (International Baccalaureate/Primary Years Programme) certified school as well as a STEM school (science, technology, engineering and math) with open enrollment. Families come to us from neighboring cities for the choices we provide. We partner with community businesses and education affiliates where available to create a better experience for our students. In 2024 Frisco Elementar… y has 75% white or non-Hispanic students and 18% Hispanic students. Our student body has a makeup of: 19% MLL (Multi-Language Learners), 18% students on Free and Reduced Lunch and 18% of our students are currently on an IEP. We always strive to be above state average expectations in all areas on state assessments. Our school community has a group SAC (School Accountability Committee) that includes members of our community, parents, district leadership, and teachers. With this committee, we share our data findings periodically, review our UIP (Unified Improvement Plans) and other school wide goals to determine how best to improve and grow as a staff and school. As a staff, we then create individual and school wide teacher goals that align with the school's UIP and apply those goals to teacher evaluation. These goals are monitored and reflected upon as we go through the school year as required by the state of Colorado, action items are created to obtain growth in areas of professional need. The Frisco School Accountability Committee (SAC) is engaged in the process of reviewing root causes and examining priority performance challenges facing our school and are invited to share their ideas during the UIP process. Our PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association) also provides additional guidance and support needed to build a positive growing school culture and academic programming. Data was presented to these groups, staff and district leaders. We found a common understanding through reviewing Literacy and Mathematics CMAS data (Colorado Measures of Academic Success) and STAR Data. We had tremendous student growth in Literacy and Mathematics but still are not meeting achievement goals in all grades tested. (3rd, 4th and 5th grade) It should be noted that 2023 our 84.4/100 School Performance Framework (SPF) rating was the highest in our schools history and 70% our our 5th grade students performed at grade level on CMAS Reading. In 2024 of SPF fell to 65.4 % with achievement slightly higher and Growth no longer at 100%. Further analysis however, showed a discrepancy in the achievement of our Hispanic students when compared to our white-non-Hispanic students. Additionally, in 2023 we had a state wide audit of our systems for MLL (Multi-Language learners) and were advised to change a few of our current systems. Frisco 2024 School Performance Framework
