Bennett Elementary School is located in the town of Bennett, Colorado, 30 miles east of Denver, on I-70. Bennett Elementary split into two schools for the 2019-2020 school year to house K-3 in the elementary and 4-6 in a new Bennett Intermediate building. Due to rapid growth in the 2021-2022 school year, Bennett Elementary became a K-2 building and third grade was shifted over to Bennett Intermediate. is made up of a diverse socioeconomic population and the landscape of our school community is ever changing. Bennett Elementary is a Title 1 school, serving: ? 258 students ? 45% male and 55% female students ?52% Free/Reduced Lunch ? 50% Hispanic/Latino ? 2% American Indian or Alaska Native ? 2% Asian ? 1% Black or African American ? 87% White (37% white not of Hispanic Origin ? 7% 2 or More Races ? 63% Student Population Excluding White not of Hispanic Origin In terms of academic percentages ? 19% EL Learners ? 24% on READ Plans (grades 1st and 2nd) ? 14% on IEPs , and 88 students on Kindergarten Readiness Plans.
