Colorado Military Academy (CMA) is a STEAM preK - 12th grade charter school with an aerospace and leadership focus. The school is located directly North of Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. The school utilizes Haggerty, Core Knowledge Sequence, and McGraw-Hill as its primary curriculum for Kindergarten through 6th grade, and uses a variety of research-based curriculum beginning in 7th grade, including, but not limited to: Savvas Envision for Math, Core Knowledge and McGraw-Hill for …
Social Studies, SpringBoard for English, and Pearson for Science. In order to develop character education, CMA hosts Civil Air Patrol (CAP) squadron CO-805. Made up of approximately 150 cadets between 7th grade and 12th grade, the CAP curriculum educates cadets in aerospace and leadership, honing the qualities of respect, integrity, excellence, and volunteer service. In addition to online Advanced Placement classes, CMA also offers Concurrent Enrollment, providing high school students an opportunities of earning college credits, preparing for higher education, and opening up the possibility of early graduation. CMA is a part of the AMSCUS network of schools, granting opportunities for scholarships to Senior Military Colleges.
