Great Work Montessori School (GWMS) is a public school chartered to serve grades K-8. In addition, we have an associated private early childhood education program that has the capacity to serve 70 students in PK3 and PK4. We are a growing school in our sixth year of operation. Our growth model is based on the enrollment of 30 students at each grade level. We began serving students in grades K-3 in the 2017-18 school year and have added a grade level each successive year. School Mission & Vision At Great Work Montessori, our mission is to support every child in becoming a joyful and courageous agent of peace, builder of community, and creator of justice and beauty. We believe that social justice must be the heart of the school's guiding principles. Our community aspires to welcome families of all backgrounds into high-fidelity Montessori learning environments. By implementing the Montessori method in a socioeconomically diverse setting, we believe our classrooms foster empathy, adaptability, and intellectual agility. Our goal is a more capable, interdependent, and harmonious community for all.
