CoMath Update for July 19, 2023

I hadn't yet sent a CoMath Update for July but I wanted to get one out before I get a few more vacation days in while I can. To keep this super short, I'll include just a few items. See you again in August!

Job Opening: CDE Out-of-School Time Specialist for Math and STEM

CDE's Office of Student Support is hiring an Out-of-School Time Program Specialist to manage the Colorado Accelerator Grant Program, part of the recently passed math bill HB23-1231. This specialist will be part of a team that oversees and coordinates programs that focus on out-of-school time, such as before and after school, fifth day, and summer programs. It includes assisting with the management and administration of programs that intend to make a significant impact on students' math proficiency in Colorado. The closing date for this position is the end of the day, July 24.

• The NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition will be held in Washington D.C. from October 25-28, 2023.
• The NCSM Annual Conference will be held in Washington D.C. from October 28-31, 2023.
