Armenian Genocide Memorial Garden

The khachkar is made of volcanic ash (tuff) and was hand-crafted in Armenia. It is a replica of a medieval Armenian headstone from the historical Djulfa cemetery in modern Azerbaijan, which was destroyed in an act of cultural genocide in 2005. The memorial is located at 200 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80203

Remembrance

The Colorado State Capitol Armenian Genocide Memorial Khachkar commemorates the victims of all crimes against humanity. It was unveiled on April 24, 2015, which marked the 100th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide.
