Overview

The Technical Advisory Panel for Longitudinal Growth (TAP) consists of state and national experts on longitudinal measurement of academic growth for state accountability purposes, convened by the Commissioner of Education to provide recommendations to the State Board of Education. The TAP was created in accordance with the Education Accountability Act of 2009 (SB-09-163). All meetings are open to the public.

Technical Advisory Panel: At-Large Membership Opportunity

The Colorado Department of Education is seeking one additional member to serve on the Technical Advisory Panel for Longitudinal Growth.  The seat will be at-large and appointed to a person interested in serving in the role that has the requisite technical background.

The TAP serves as an advisory body to the Department of Education regarding the implementation of the Colorado Growth Model and the Educational Accountability Act. Further responsibilities are outlined in Colorado Statute (22-11-202).  TAP members serve three-year terms without compensation.  The Panel is composed of fourteen members, each representing a specific area of expertise related to educational assessment, growth, and/or accountability.  A few members are appointed as representatives of professional organizations.  Meetings are typically held on a quarterly basis at CDE with additional meetings being called as needed.
