Binax COVID-19 Testing Opportunity and Supporting English Learners
On February 18th, 2021 CDE recorded a presentation in which representatives from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment presented information about COVID-19 testing available to districts through a pilot program. Additionally, representatives from the CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education Office shared best practices for supporting English Learners during the pandemic, including strategies that can be funded with ESSER funds.

On June 3rd, representatives from the CDE Grants Fiscal Management Unit presented information about Time and Effort reporting, and FTE. We also had representatives from the CDE Migrant Education Office share strategies for supporting Migrant students with ESSER funds.
ARP ESSER III 20% Set Aside
On June 10th, CDE representatives from the Accountability and Continuous Improvement Office shared evidence based interventions and school improvement tools to help schools implement effective practices, to help with planning activities that meet the 20% set aside requirements under ARP ESSER III.
Safe In-Person Plan Requirements
On June 17, CDE recorded a presentation devoted to ARP ESSER III, including Safe In-Person plan requirements, and strategies for utilizing ESSER funds to support students in foster care.
ARP ESSER III – LEA Plans, and Meaningful Stakeholder Engagement
On June 24, CDE representatives from the Federal Programs Unit and Office of Family School Community Partnerships shared strategies to leverage funds to support engagement activities.

On July 29th, CDE representatives from the Schools of Choice Office provided guidance on 100% remote learning.

On August 5th, CDE shared strategies for leveraging ESSER funds to provide Behavioral and Social Emotional Learning supports. The team also shared updates on testing, vaccines, and initiatives.

On August 12th, CDE colleagues presented on ARP IDEA, and shared CCSSO guidance on leveraging ESSER funds and Medicaid to support students.

Indirect Cost Training
On September 23, 2021, CDE provided an indirect cost training, answered CRF monitoring questions, and reviewed evidence-based curricula and resources.

On September 30, 2021, the law firm of Brustein and Manasevit provided a training on Maintenance of Equity.
