This web-based guide provides resources and activities from multiple state agencies, districts, and postsecondary institutions.  “The key goal of the Guide is to help educators and other youth service professionals design and implement quality ILP* activities. Career development that relies on the ILP as a tool for developing a bridge between college and career readiness efforts will help youth achieve prosperous and productive lives.”   *Colorado’s is one of 44 states that require or encourage the use of Individualized learning Plans (ILPs).  Of course the ILP is called “ICAP” in Colorado.

ICAP Quality Indicators

These developmentally appropriate ICAP elements - ICAP Quality Indicators - were sculpted by research and evidence-based practices in 2014.  Students use these ICAP quality indicators to explore self- awareness, careers, and postsecondary pathways. ICAP teams use  them to help define and refine their ICAP practices.  The indicators are also modified for developmental levels – based on middle and high school.
