Colorado Spanish Language Arts

About

Beginning in Spring 2016, third and fourth grade students who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to participate in Colorado Spanish Language Arts (CSLA) instead of PARCC ELA. Colorado School Law C.R.S. §22-7-409 (3.5) (a) and (b), requires a Spanish Language Arts assessment for third and fourth grade. The previous assessments, Lectura and Escritura, were aligned to the Colorado Model Content Standards. The new Colorado Spanish Language Arts assessments align to skills and concepts in the Colorado Academic Standards. These paper-based assessments have been created using blueprints that mirror the PARCC English Language Arts assessment.
