The Colorado State Board of Education has approved all PLACE assessments, a number of PRAXIS assessments and one NES assessment for the demonstration of content knowledge and skill. PLACE was designed and developed specifically for Colorado, whereas PRAXIS and NES are nationwide exams.
Colorado recognizes the PRAXIS series of exams for many content areas.
Colorado recognizes the NES exam in the content area of Mandarin (Chinese) (404).
Please note: *** Last administration of all PLACE exams and the NES exam will be May 6, 2017 and will be accepted for 5 years until May 6, 2022.
