The Impact of Stress and Trauma on Learning and Behavior important information:

Training Description: This one-day training will begin by covering the basics of human neurodevelopment to give those who work in the educational setting a foundational lens for understanding the organ they interface with daily. The topic will then shift into learning about our stress response system, and how stress and trauma can impact us and those we support. Lastly, we will begin to explore applicable concepts that should drive supports, both academic and behavior. The goal is that participants will walk away with a new lens that helps them better conceptualize students they serve and provide tools they need to begin shifting how they create interventions. Concepts from the Neurosequential Model in Education (NME) will be used throughout this presentation.
Cost: There is no cost to attend this training. Lodging and mileage MUST be covered by your district or charter.
