Benchmark Completion

December is here and a very busy time of the year! For those schools that are doing their Middle of Year (MOY) benchmark assessments in December, please make sure you are checking your fidelity report on a regular basis to ensure everyone is assessed within your window. For more information on how to pull this report you can go to the mclass.amplify.com “Training Tile” and click on the “Reporting and Analysis Suite Tutorial” for a short review.

Upcoming Professional Development

The ELAT Team has been working hard to prepare for the Middle of Year regional sessions. If you haven’t had a chance to register for a session, please make sure you do so soon so we can have the right amount of participant notebooks at your session. These sessions provide support to you so that you can comfortably lead important data conversations and create action plans for next semester. See below for the objectives of each session for leaders:

MOY Data Analysis for Leaders

  • Review key MOY data for school, grades, and teachers through reports at the composite score and measure levels
  • Identify both celebrations within the data and underlying causes that affect instructional change
  • Reflect on MOY Pathways Achieved to make adjustments for the next semester of instruction
  • Customize and practice leading data conversations using your “Make It, Take It” slide deck

MOY Instructional Planning & Delivery for Leaders

  • Review the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
  • Reflect on previous student achievement and levels of success by tier
  • Identify gaps in schoolwide data and contributing system-level levers
  • Identify and prioritize strategic systems-level decisions that will support teachers and students in meeting schoolwide goals
  • Work collaboratively to create an actionable schoolwide plan

Check out the sessions listed in the Teacher/Interventionists/Coaches section of the newsletter and make sure you have staff from your school attending these important sessions!
