Response to Intervention Training

Professional Learning Opportunities

Join us for professional learning opportunities focused on Response to Intervention (RtI). Each session will address a topic related to RtI to increase knowledge and build practical skills to support student-level problem solving. 

Who should attend?

Educators, administrators and school leaders, special service providers, instructional coaches, student support facilitators and team members, and student support providers. Though it is beneficial for participants to attend each session, it is not required. 

Cost

Each session is free to attend.

Data Literacy for Response to Intervention

November 20th, 2025 – 8:30-9:30am MST

November 20th Zoom Registration

  • Participants will learn how to collect, analyze, and use data to identify student needs, monitor progress, and make informed instructional and intervention decisions.
  • Participants will learn strategies for using assessment data collaboratively in problem-solving teams to make timely, student-centered decisions across all tiers.

Integrating Universal Design for Learning Within Response to Intervention

January 15th, 2026 – 8:30-9:30am MST

January 15th Zoom Registration

  • Participants will explore how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles strengthen RtI by improving access, equity, and effectiveness across all tiers of support.
  • Participants will identify ways to embed UDL strategies in core instruction to reduce barriers and support all learners.
  • Participants will demonstrate how UDL can inform targeted and intensive interventions, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for diverse learners.

Using Assessments in Response to Intervention (Recorded training coming soon!)​

  • Participants will learn the purpose and types of assessments used within a tiered system, including universal screening, diagnostic assessments, formative, and summative assessments.

  • Participants will be able to describe how RtI functions within the Colorado Multi-Tiered System of Supports (COMTSS) Framework and the differences between COMTSS and RtI in practice. 
  • Participants will enhance their understanding of the key features of RtI and the function of each.
