Online Academy


The COMTSS Online Academy provides participants with on-demand training across multiple topics related to COMTSS in Colorado. The courses are free and available lessons in the Online Academy cover topics that include:

  • COMTSS 101
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Team-Driven Shared Leadership
  • Comprehensive Screening and Assessment
  • Data-Based Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Family, School, and Community Partnerships
  • Layered Continuum of Supports
  • Evidence-Based Practices

  • Implementation Science
  • Response to Intervention
  • School Climate
  • Social-Emotional Wellness
  • Suicide Prevention
  • Systems Coaching
  • Universal Design for Learning

 

Each module includes a video around 10 minutes long, a quiz, a processing guide, and additional links to outside resources as needed. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for all the modules offered.

Kevin Schaefer, Director of Equity and Inclusive Practices for the Supporting Inclusive Practices (SIP) Project, gave a presentation connecting UDL with classroom-level instructional lesson planning (including students with disabilities), site implementation support, and system-wide improvement/alignment.
