LifeSkills Training (LST)

About This Resource

Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) is an evidence-based substance use and violence prevention program developed by Gilbert J. Botvin, Ph.D. and backed by more than 35 years of research. The program is designed for elementary, middle, and high school students and teaches personal, social, and resistance skills to reduce risk behaviors including tobacco, alcohol, and drug use, as well as violence and delinquency. LST is available in print and digital formats, including e-learning versions for middle and high school, and has been recognized as a model program by multiple federal agencies. Trainer certification and professional development are available for teachers, counselors, and other youth-serving professionals.
