Learning to Breathe

About This Resource

Learning to BREATHE (L2B) is an evidence-based mindfulness curriculum for adolescents developed by Patricia Broderick, Ph.D. Designed for use in classroom and clinical settings, the program teaches stress reduction, emotion regulation, and self-awareness through mindfulness practices adapted from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Curriculum is available in 6-, 12-, and 18-session formats for younger and older adolescents, as well as college-age and adult populations. L2B has been designated by CASEL as an official SEL Supportive Program and is used in school districts, clinical settings, and universities across the United States and internationally. Training for educators and clinicians is available through online courses, intensive workshops, and a master trainer certification pathway.
