Selection of Accountability Measures for Alternative Education Campuses (XLS)

• By June 30, all Alternative Education Campus schools must submit a selection of accountability measures form, with their district or authorizer's approval, indicating any optional supplemental accountability measures, metrics, and cut-points they are requesting to be used in their AEC School Performance Framework report.

Application and Renewal for Designation as an Alternative Education Campus (XLS)

• By April 28, 2017, all schools seeking designation as an Alternative Education Campus or renewal as an Alternative Education Campus for the 2017-18 school year will need to submit an Application/Renewal form, with their district or authorizer’s approval, verifying that the school meets or continues to meet eligibility criteria. On February 27, 2017, all districts seeking renewal or new designation received a pre-populated application from CDE, and this form must be returned to CDE. Pre-populated forms were uploaded to Syncplicity and schools will need to get in touch with their Superintendent to access the template. The form on the website is for informational purposes only for districts seeking new AEC designation for a school. If a district is seeking new designation, please contact accountability@cde.state.co.us.

Alternative Education Campus Accountability Work Group Report​ (PDF)

• Per HB15-1350, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) was required to form a group of stakeholders from the Alternative Education Campus (AEC) community to gather feedback on the next iteration of Alternative Education Campus accountability, specifically the School Performance Framework to form the Alternative Education Campus Accountability Work Group (AEC AWG). On December 1, 2015, the AEC AWG submitted five written recommendations to the CDE Commissioner, the Education Committees of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and the State Board of Education.
