Multilingual Learners: A Collaborative Approach to Success (MLCAS)

Please join us for a one-day in-person multi-disciplinary training event focusing on ensuring Multilingual Learners are equitably and appropriately referred for special education services and that they receive high-quality instruction specifically designed to meet their needs.

The morning workshops will cover the initial evaluation of Multilingual Learners with suspected disabilities using dynamic assessment strategies. Afternoon workshops will cover planning and implementing intervention plans that capitalize on the multidisciplinary service delivery of evidence-based practices for Multilingual Learners with disabilities.

This advanced training will focus on the evaluation of multilingual learners using dynamic assessment strategies, intervention practices that capitalize on multi-disciplinary service delivery of evidence-based practices for multilingual students, and opportunities to hear from experts in the field and action plan with your team for implementation of these concepts. 

Terms & Registration Information 

• This training is for Colorado school professionals who support Multilingual Learners with Disabilities; including, Speech-Language Pathologists, School-Based Mental Health Providers, English Language Acquisition Teachers, Special Education Directors, School Service Providers, and Educators who support Multilingual Learners. Each team member must register.
• Priority is given to professionals registered as a team. Registration does not guarantee enrollment in the training or admission. The class facilitators will review all registrants and then, using a rubric, determine who will and will not attend.

Note: You will receive CDE professional development credits that can be used to review educator licenses. You may earn full-day credit only!
