Colorado's Stories of Promising Practices tells narratives about schools and districts that have implemented new strategies to improve student outcomes, developed exemplary practices and validated their results through data and other verifiable demonstrations of student performance. Featuring work in five key areas, these stories highlight the innovative practices in schools and districts across the state to meet four goals set forth in CDE's strategic plan:
- 50% of third graders will meet or exceed expectations in English Language Arts
- 80% of schools needing support and academic improvement will raise and maintain their performance
- 66% of students will earn a postsecondary credential, degree or certificate after high school
- 20% more underserved students will achieve academic expectations
