The Colorado State Library (CSL) administers three different grants on a yearly basis to eligible libraries in Colorado. These include the Library Service and Technology Act (LSTA) grants, State Grants to Libraries, and Summer Reading Mini-Grants. CSL also provides information and resources to libraries about E-rate
LSTA grants are a competitive grant process to assist libraries and library-related agencies develop programs and projects that enable Coloradans to receive improved library services. The State Grants to Libraries are distributed to all eligible libraries to fund grants for library materials. Mini-Grants are awarded to public libraries to support and promote the current year's Statewide Summer Reading Program in their local communities. For the Mini-Grants, priority is given to libraries below 10,000 Legal Service Area (LSA) population and libraries in non-metro locations.
