Language and Content

The purpose of the Language and Content section:

This section contains resources to support the integration of language and content in instruction.

WIDA Resources:

RESOURCE NAME: English Language Proficiency Standards Prekindergarten through Grade 5, 2007 Edition

Suggestion for use: WIDA’s strands of Model Performance Indicators (MPIs) are examples that illustrate differentiated language expectations related to content-area instruction within one language domain. Example strands of MPIs by grade level cluster begin on page 2. Educators may need to transform one or more of the elements of the MPIs to better align with the Colorado Academic Standards.
