The School Nutrition Unit offers online, in-person and webinar trainings to increase school nutrition professionals’ skills and knowledge in operating child nutrition programs. These trainings provide USDA Professional Standards hours and count as Continuing Education Units (CEU) for the School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) Credential.   • April’s call will be the second Masterclass Leadership webinar. April 22 is Earth Day and the theme this year is Restore Our Earth. To celebrate the occasion, participants will learn ways to reduce food waste and tips to increase sustainability in menu planning

  • General Information

    • Held the last Thursday of each month from 2-3 p.m. MST
    • The same registration link is used for each call. Either register in advance or click this link to join the call. 
    • Topics are determined monthly based on School Food Authority/sponsor requests

School Nutrition and Nourish Colorado Meal Quality Training #4 

Join the fourth in a four part series of interactive meal quality trainings! Training #4 continues to build upon concepts from prior trainings, diving deeper into time management terms like economies of scale and working ahead, and how terms like these can support your summer program and/or when you return back to school. We will also provide more culinary techniques and recipes, all designed to help you use up products in your inventory. Food Service Directors and Kitchen Managers would  both benefit from attending this training. As always, we work to design engaging and interactive trainings that are built off your participation, even virtually! We look forward to ‘seeing’ you!
