Morgan Community College
B.A.S. Education, Technology Education
The program combines specialized industrial technology coursework with comprehensive teacher preparation, designed specifically for individuals with skilled trades experience looking to transition into education. Flexible learning formats accommodate working professionals, making it ideal for career changers. In years 1-3, students complete both their skilled trades-focused coursework and foundational education courses. After completing these requirements, students are eligible to apply for a year-long residency experience in their final year, which can be completed at sites across Colorado. This practical residency allows students to apply their knowledge directly in classroom settings, supported by experienced educators. Graduates earn a Bachelor's of Applied Science (B.A.S) and are eligible for licensure through the Colorado Department of Education.
