The EDHD Undergraduate Program is a 4-year program focused on preparing teachers who can support the learning of diverse students. The deeply embedded clinical experiences throughout all 4 years enable candidates to “live the life of a teacher," with time spent in community organizations, early field experiences in schools, and a year-long professional residency in the senior year. Coursework is carefully connected to clinical experiences allowing candidates to continuously try out what they are learning in courses as they co-teach alongside master mentor teachers in CU Denver partnership schools. Find out more about the EDHD Undergraduate program at https://education.ucdenver.edu/academics/undergraduate.
The EDHD Undergraduate Program also includes 2 customized programs. The first is NxtGEN, a 4-year residency program. In NxtGEN, students are placed in paid paraeducator internships through the first 3 years of the program and in a final year residency. Find out more about NxtGEN at https://education.ucdenver.edu/academic-services/student-resources/nxtgen. T-PREP is another customized program offered in partnership with rural community colleges. T-PREP allows students to complete the full 4-year program on location at the community college campus through a combination of in-person, remote and online courses. More on T-PREP can be found at https://sehd.ucdenver.edu/t-prep/undergraduate-programs/.
