Rose Stein International is located in Lakewood, Colorado, and is part of the Jefferson County School District. The school reopened in the 2017-2018 school year as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years (PYP) candidate school. Programming includes half day preschool, full day preschool and elementary grades kindergarten through sixth grade. There are two classrooms at each elementary grade level. h students in grades kindergarten and first grade utilizing iPads and students in grades second through sixth utilizing Chromebooks as personal devices. The devices are intentionally integrated throughout the school day to best enhance student learning. In the 2019-2020 school year, Rose Stein became the first Title 1 elementary school in Jeffco to be authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programming (PYP) school. Rose Stein staff participates in several hours of professional learning, which enhances instructional practices and increases student learning. Six transdisciplinary units have been planned and will be taught at each elementary grade level. These units are inquiry-based, integrating science and social studies content standards. Rose Stein receives Title 1 grant funds to support our students and families. These funds are used to hire an additional 2.0 licensed teachers. Rose Stein also uses Title 1 funds for paraprofessional hours to support classrooms with larger class sizes during core instruction and small group time. Also, Rose Stein utilizes a full time Family Engagement Liaison who is the point of contact for our Title 1 funded Family Center.
