Platte Valley Schools District RE7 is a rural district 10 miles east of Greeley. We have approximately 1200 students K-12 and serve a long-standing rural community. The farm/ranch community offers us a unique opportunity to explore our agricultural roots through our CTE Agricultural program. We also pride ourselves on our high attendance and graduation rate and on serving a heterogeneous group of students through K-12 education. e district and happy to do in this community where parents and our school board are supportive. Our improvement efforts include a K-12 approach with our District Leadership Team analyzing data local and state to understand where the issues are and brainstorm how to improve them. We establish the goals collectively for the district and then each school establishes its improvement plan from the direction of the district's plan. This method has served us well for the past 12 years. It helps to maintain alignment and cohesiveness. We use local MAP and behavior data, state CMAS and SAT Data, and the TLCC data provided by the state. We believe our efforts to maintain expectations through the pandemic are paying off and we are recovering from gaps experienced due to school closures and quarantines.
