Support Future Equity and Excellence Conferences

The conference planners are creating a listserv of people interested in being involved in the next Equity and Excellence Conference, who will be contacted in the early stages of planning the conference. If interested in being involved in the planning process or presenting at the conference, please email equityandexcellence@cde.state.co.us to be added to the listserv. 

Professional Development, Training, and CEUs for Renewing a License 

On November 7, 2023, electronic certificates were emailed via Certifier to all attendees who indicated that they would like a certificate during registration. This electronic certificate can be submitted to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Licensing Office when educators renew a license or authorization. According to the CDE Licensing webpage on professional development, training, and CEUs, documentation required for attending a conference should include a copy of conference registration and a listing of conference sections attended (for each session include date, time session met, title of session, and names of the presenters). Credit will be given by contact hours.

For the electronic certificate, contact hours were calculated based on the keynote and breakout sessions only. The opening and closing remarks, Q&A with keynotes, and lunch were not included in the contact hours. The keynote presentations were 1.25 hours each and breakout sessions were 1 hour each, for a total of 9.5 contact hours for those who attended the full two-day conference. For partial attendance, the individual attendee schedule on Sched was used to calculate the accurate number of contact hours.

Documentation for Reimbursement

An attendee’s employer may require the conference schedule for hotel and/or mileage reimbursement. The conference schedule is still available on the registration platform, Sched, or as a downloadable pdf file here.
