In-Person Trainings on the Colorado State Model Performance Management System

The Educator Effectiveness team will provide several full-day trainings for district/BOCES level staff and tech support staff who have committed to using the Colorado State Model Performance Management System for the 2014-15 school year. The performance management system is designed to support districts in the implementation, data collection and effective use of the Colorado State Model Evaluation System. The performance management system includes electronic interfaces and data collection tools for professional practices, measures of student learning/outcomes, final effectiveness ratings, and aggregate reports to support principals and district leaders to provide useful and actionable feedback and possible professional development opportunities for educators. These trainings are intended for district/BOCES staff that will be responsible for training users in the system and providing BOCES/district, and school level technical support to users during implementation.

Dates and locations:

All trainings will run from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

  • Aug. 4 – University of Denver, Denver
  • Aug. 5 – University of Northern Colorado, Greeley
  • Aug. 6 – Hotel Colorado, Glenwood Springs
  • Aug. 7 – Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction
  • Aug. 7 – Northwest BOCES, Steamboat Springs
  • Aug. 12 – Ft. Lewis College, Durango
  • Aug. 14 – Pueblo Convention Center, Pueblo
  • Aug. 15 – East Central BOCES, Limon

Who should attend?

This training is intended for districts who have confirmed they plan to use the Colorado State Model Performance Management System for the 2014-15 school year. Superintendents, district/BOCES tech support staff (trainers), and HR staff are welcome to attend. Each district is also welcome to invite two evaluators and two teachers for the afternoon of the training.

Districts that are interested in learning more about the system, but have not confirmed, may register but will be automatically placed on a waitlist for the event. If the capacity has not been reached, one week prior to the event they will be contacted to let them know if there is the ability for them to attend. 

To register for the training:

Before you register, please make sure your district/BOCES has informed CDE of its intent to use the Colorado State Model Performance Management System. Contact Joslyn Robich if your district/BOCES has not submitted its intent.

Then, please click here to register for any of the above training dates. Each participant should bring a laptop computer to the training. 

Registration is free, but a minimum of 10 participants is required for each training or the training is subject to cancellation. In order for us to have an accurate count and contact information for everyone at the training, please sign up at least once week prior to your training. It’s important that all personnel attending the training fill out the registration. This will help us plan for food and materials as well as have everyone’s contact information.
