a. Contract: Colorado Department of Education, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Office of Managemtent Services for the Colorado English Language Assessment (CELA)program

Approve the contract between the Colorado Department of Education, CTB/McGraw-Hill, Office of Management Services for the Colorado English Language Assessment (CELA) program in an amount not to exceed $1,826,838.00 for the period of March 1, 2006 through June 30, 2006.


b. Contingency Reserve Request from Denver Public Schools to Relieve the District of Revenue Losses Due to Delta and Northwest Airlines Bankruptcy

Appove the contingency reserve request from Denver Public Schools to relieve the district of revenue losses due to Delta and Northwest Airlines bankruptcy.

f. Establishment of Fees for Licensing Program
Review and establish evaluation fees and CBI/FBI charges for FY 06/07.

g. Contract: The Colorado Student Assessment Program Alternate (CSAPA) between the State of Colorado and to be determined.

Review the contract between the State of Colorado and a vendor to be determined, as the Request For Proposal is on the BIDS system until March 6th. After the bid process is over, the name of the company to be contracted and amount will be on the Agenda Summary Action Sheet for review and approval for the contract to begin on 07/01/06.


h. Contract: Colorado Department of Education, Office of Management Services and ACT, Inc.

Review for approval in May the contract between: The Colorado Department of Education, Office of Management Services and ACT, Inc., for the total amount of $1,450,031.00 for the dates of 07/01/05 through 06/30/06.


i. Regis College/University (Regis) endorsement preparation programs in Linguistically Diverse Education and Linguistically Diverse Education Specialist: Bilingual

Review the content of the proposed Regis College/University (Regis) endorsement preparation programs in Linguistically Diverse Education and Linguistically Diverse Education Specialist: Bilingual


j. Colorado State University - Pueblo (CSU-P) endorsement preparation program in Linguistically Diverse

Review the content of the proposed endorsement preparation program in Linguistically Diverse as submitted by Colorado State University Pueblo.


k. Resolution Concerning Environmental Education
Jared Polis and Karen Middleton are requesting the Board to consider this resolution for adoption in its May meeting.

l. Five-Year Strategic Plan for CDE and Leadership Paper Presented in February 2006
