Monument View Montessori Charter School is a small semi-rural school that was founded in 2017-18 in Fruita, Colorado. The school serves a population of around 55-60 students, ranging in ages from 3 years' old to 3rd grade. Monument View Montessori Charter School is a public charter school providing a high quality Montessori-inspired education for the Grand Valley. environment where all students believe in their endless potential. We are a group of educators, parents, and community members who have come together to build a school community that encourages students to become self-motivated, lifelong learners. Students in preschool through elementary will be encompassed in a learning culture grounded in the Montessori collaborative approaches to community and leadership. The foundation of this academic excellence is a prepared classroom environment that inspires self-paced, individualized discovery, a love of learning, and respect for self, others and the environment. Montessori education is unique in that it is truly a community endeavor with fully involved parents who work in tandem with teachers, the head of school, and the Board of Directors to ensure the best possible education for the children. Our Mission : Using a Montessori approach to education, Monument View Montessori Charter School seeks to instill a lifelong love of learning through a structured and individualized classroom experience aimed at nurturing the self-directed student.
