Clear Creek School District RE-1, headquartered in Idaho Springs, serves pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students across Clear Creek County in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Known as the district “where academic excellence meets mountain adventure,” Clear Creek Schools provide a personalized educational experience that combines rigorous academics with experiential learning opportunities, outdoor field studies, and future-ready career pathways inspired by its unique mountain environment. Clear Creek School District RE-1, headquartered in Idaho Springs, serves pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students across Clear Creek County in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Known as the district “where academic excellence meets mountain adventure,” Clear Creek Schools provide a personalized educational experience that combines rigorous academics with experiential learning opportunities, outdoor field studies, and future-ready career pathways inspired by its unique mountain environment. Established in 1959 through the consolidation of the county’s schools, the district now serves approximately 634 students across five schools, including three elementary schools, one Middle School, and one High School. Clear Creek School District RE-1 is dedicated to fostering authentic learning experiences through Crew-Connect, Experiential Learning, and Future-Ready Learning. The district emphasizes character development, leadership, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability while building strong community connections and a sense of belonging for every student.
