About Lincoln Elementary School (5170)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Lincoln Elementary School

2023-2024

We are a small, diverse, neighborhood school that act as the center of the community. Our core instruction is supported by Project Based Learning (PBL), which allows students to work together to gain knowledge and skills by investigating and responding to real-world problems and challenges in our local area. Creating high interest, authentic, relevant and complex learning experiences supports engagement with our Lincoln students and stakeholders. We offer a variety of opportunities to partner wi… th the community with programs including: Everyday Heroes, after school clubs including Garden Club and Wonders of the Wild Outdoor Club. We partner with Rotary, Reading and Math Corps, Faith Based Organizations, and Corporate entities. Additionally, we work to encourage parent volunteers in many different capacities including classroom and recess support, morning and afternoon greeters, and projects that can be completed at home. Additionally, Lincoln focuses on supporting the whole child with universal instruction on tolerance and acceptance using the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (P.B.I.S.) and No Place for Hate. Students at Lincoln receive daily instruction using In Focus and Zones of Regulation (social/emotional curriculum) which is also embedded throughout core instruction. We also offer many different ways for families to engage with school wide events include Lap-a-thon, our Winter Concert, Movie Night, and Bingo Night. Additionally, each grade level provides multiple opportunities throughout the year for families to come in during the school day to participate in the learning that their child is engaged in. Our PTO and SAC team meets monthy on the first Thursday of every month. During that time we provide updates on Lincoln's SUIP inculding data analysis and engage monitoring progress towards improvement targets. We utilize surveys as well as our Family Nights and our P.I.E. Night to gather feedback from families on the development of the SUIP and Family Compact. Additionally, Title One Principals meet monthly with the Federal Programs Administrator to discuss progress on goals.
