Weld Re-8 School District is located northeast of the Denver metropolitan area and serves the City of Fort Lupton as well as portions of Dacono, Colorado. The district serves approximately 2,400 students across six schools, including a preschool, two elementary schools, one K–8 school, a middle school, and Fort Lupton High School. The district serves approximately 2,400 students across six schools, including a preschool, two elementary schools, one K–8 school, a middle school, and Fort Lupton High School. Our student population is diverse, with approximately 45% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals and 25% identified as multilingual learners receiving English language development services. The Weld Re-8 Board of Education is guided by the core values of putting kids first, dignity, investing in people, communication, transparency, and safety. These values inform and guide district decisions and operations. The district's General Fund is primarily supported through revenues received under the Colorado School Finance Act. According to the audited financial statements for fiscal year 2024–2025, General Fund revenues totaled $34,423,060.
