West Ridge Academy is a K-8 charter school in the Greeley-Evans school district that opened in 2011-2012. Currently, there are 380 students at the school. There are about 20 students per class that are participating in, in-person learning. Free and reduced lunch is provided to 208 students, approximately 55% of our student population. Our school consists of 48% minority students. The UIP was developed using a collaborative process involving our school leadership committee which is our teacher… representation and our school accountability committee, which includes representation of our families. Grade-level data teams assessed our school data from the 2023 CMAS assessment, growth data from NWEA, and DIBELS. Grade-level data teams met regularly with school leadership and shared the information with the SAC and Board of Directors. West Ridge Academy Vision, Mission, and Core Beliefs A. Vision Statement - The vision is to prepare each child to meet his or her highest academic potential and strongest character to ensure personal success. B. Mission Statement - The West Ridge community is committed to working with families, students and an exemplary staff of educators to create a rigorous, character-focused, academic learning environment using our eight pillars of virtue. C. Core Beliefs - The following Core Beliefs have been created to further define the school's new vision and mission statements. WRA believes all children can learn provided they receive proper instruction. WRA believes in providing a small school atmosphere where students are known by name and have a significant relationship with at least one adult in the school. WRA believes that all students are valued and respected. WRA believes all students should learn personal responsibility and a positive work ethic. WRA believes in emphasizing the role of the family in a child's education, which includes providing meaningful parental involvement.
