Hudson Elementary received a Performance Plan Rating from the state for the 2022-2023 School Year. We have continued to provide Professional Development for staff, following district guidelines and used Monday early release time to provide differentiated and high-quality professional development focused on improving standards-based instruction and curriculum, which in turn supports all students. We will continue to provide professional development in Math, specifically around I-Ready, the new ma…
th curriculum recently adopted by the district. We will also continue to provide professional development in ELA, specifically around Wit & Wisdom, as needed. After reviewing NWEA MAP data, it was observed that grades 2-5 did not meet the projected proficiency targets for Math and ELA from Fall of 2021 to Spring of 2022. The 2023-2024 UIP was developed and reviewed by our school's Instructional Leadership Team. The School Accountability Team, which consisted of staff and parents, reviewed and approved the plan. We considered two and three-year sets of data with which we could identify academic performance trends. That data included information from MAPS assessment results showing achievement and growth, ELL ACCESS data for achievement and growth and CMAS data. When analyzing Priority Needs and determining Root Causes, in addition to achievement and growth data, we utilized classroom-walk-through information, school professional development plans for the past two years, and teacher input. This information allowed us to determine both positive trends and the Priority Needs that will help us focus our efforts to address those areas in need of growth and improvement.
