Roosevelt Charter Academy (RCA)is a neighborhood charter school of distinction with 27 years of community service. As we move into the 23-24 school year, our mission is to ''work rigorously with families to create high achieving, engaged, accountable, respectful, and safe, lifelong learners.'' The staff demonstrates tremendous care for children and believes in developing the whole child, offering music, physical education, art, library services, and STEM programming. RCA's vision statement, ''Providing a cutting-edge model for education that values community, culture, and diversity,'' supports our efforts of integrating technology, project-based learning, and Academies. Roosevelt is an inclusive school community in which differences in people and ideas are appreciated. Roosevelt supports a Life Skills Program, ML (multi-lingual) Program and is responsive to the diverse needs of our student body. Teams meet regularly to analyze and discuss student assessment data, set goals, and plan instruction. Roosevelt uses multiple measures to determine positive and negative trends on performance standards.
