About Wilder Elementary School (9600)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Wilder Elementary School

2023-2024

Wilder Elementary is set in a wonderful and safe learning community where children enjoy coming to school. Wilder is in the Littleton Public Schools district and we focus on students, relationships, high expectations, and safety. We are fortunate to be supported by our highly engaged parent community. Our strong partnership with the community and collaboration with our students, parents, and staff allows us to grow academics, engagement, and the attributes of all of our students. It is important… to us that we address the needs of the whole child to include both academics and social-emotional needs while having fun! We are very fortunate to have a highly involved PTO and parent community. This support makes Wilder a positive and inclusive place for students to learn, grow, and thrive as individuals. Wilder is invested in providing rigorous and relevant learning opportunities for all students through collaboration, risk-taking, creativity, and problem-solving skills needed to prepare our students to become well-adjusted, thriving, and balanced individuals. In addition, we offer outstanding programming which includes special education, gifted and talented, PE, Music, ART, and a SMART lab special. We are also adding a SMART Lab Studio for our students to become the voice of our school in many engaging opportunities. Wilder selected a data team to bring to the LPS data days work session, where the team looked at the school's data. The data team consisted of the school's principal, assistant principal, a math interventionist, mental health provider, and instructional coach. The team defined root causes by looking at the data, defined the problem areas by looking at trends and hunches. The team determined Wilder's math growth was a priority as the data was showing a consistent decline on i-Ready math and CMAS math scores. Focusing on PLC's, where teachers will dive into data and create common formative assessments to consistently benchmark the grade-level standards. This will help us with meeting students where they are through the full rigor of the standards. This process and the UIP were shared with the school's accountability committee as well. The school's accountability consists of parents, stakeholders, and community members. Wilders Enrollment: 600
