Masks for Colorado Schools
As part of ongoing efforts to keep in-person learning as safe as possible, the Colorado State Emergency Operations Center will resume the distribution of masks for educators and other staff who work with students at districts, BOCES, public schools, charter schools, private schools and facility schools through the end of the 2020-21 school year. Shipments will begin the week of Jan. 18, 2021.
Districts, Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), private schools and facility schools will receive three masks per week for each staff person who works with students. Each shipment will include a combination of surgical and KN95 masks.
In order to participate, each district and BOCES must fill out this form to request masks for their staff who work with students at traditional and charter schools as well as at the district or BOCES level. Please ensure only one request is submitted for each district and BOCES. Each private school and facility school may fill out the form individually.
Similar to the fall distribution, charter schools and non-Catholic private schools will be asked to pick up their supply of masks at the district in which they are located. Masks for staff at Catholic schools will be delivered to each diocese.
The best mask for you is one that you can wear comfortably and consistently. The link below contains information about surgical and KN95 masks, how to clean or dispose of masks and additional mask information.
