This course builds upon the strong research base supporting the importance of family-school partnerships in student learning. There is integration of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships (PTA, 2008). All grade levels are included. Information, resources, and skills in developing effective reciprocal communication and homework practices, which can improve student achievement, will be provided. Participants can adapt specific assignments and tools to meet their learning needs.
