Presented by Dr. Robin Greenfield, this presentation will discuss the topic of attention and the role it plays in the education of children, particularly children who are deaf-blind. Participants will learn what attention might look like for a child who is deaf-blind, what sustains a child’s attention, and what impact a distraction or interruption has on attention. They will also learn about the myths of multitasking and have the opportunity to engage in activities that look at their own attention.

Intended Audience

This webinar is for Colorado parents of and professionals working with children birth through 21 years with significant supports needs, including deaf-blindness.

Training Expectations

Full attendance is a requirement. Please do not sign up if you cannot commit to the two full-hours.


Please share this registration link with appropriate families and colleagues. Each person must register separately. When registering, please indicate if you will require accommodations at least two weeks ahead of each training event. . The registration will be closed two weeks ahead of each event.

About the Presenter

Robin G. Greenfield, Ph.D. is the Associate Director of the Center on Disabilities and Human Development at the University of Idaho. She is also the Director of the Idaho Project for Children and Youth with Deaf-Blindness. Dr. Greenfield has conducted national and international presentations on education strategies for children who are deaf-blind. She has written a series of booklets and video fact sheets on topics related to deaf-blindness and produced a video series on the inclusion of a child who is deaf-blind in a general education classroom.
