Ellevation Education

Program Description

Ellevation Strategies offers a 45-hour professional development bundle that will support classroom teachers in meeting the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students. Strategies is available to educators in districts that have a subscription. Each module follows the Learn-Teach-Reflect structure, and can be completed asynchronously or in collaborative peer groups. The modules contain video, classroom-specific student demographics and data, an article summarizing key research, and a selection of instructional activities to use with students. Activities include differentiation suggestions based on their students’ English language proficiency. After teaching with the activity, teachers return to reflect upon the experience and student outcomes.  Modules cover a range of relevant topics. Some are focused on student subgroups, like LTELs. Others target the language practices that advance student learning, like fostering interactions or clarifying input
