Colorado Christian University

Special Service Provider - School Counselor

The Master of Arts in School Counseling program equips you with the knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions needed to serve as a competent, ethical, and compassionate school counselor. As a graduate of Colorado Christian University’s M.A. in School Counseling, you will learn to integrate developmental theory, counseling practice, applied research, and data-driven decision-making to support the academic, career, social, and emotional development of K–12 students.

Our CACREP-accredited M.A. in School Counseling offers a single licensure track that prepares you to become a School Counselor in Colorado and aligns with national standards recognized across the country. Through rigorous coursework and comprehensive field experiences, you will develop the professional competencies needed to work effectively in public, private, charter, and international school settings.

Grounded in current research and best practices, the Master of Arts in School Counseling program emphasizes ethical leadership, strong helping skills, and practical collaboration with teachers, families, and community partners. Students gain training that prepares them to guide students through challenges, support healthy development, and contribute meaningfully to school communities.

This master's degree is ideal for those who feel called to encourage, advocate for, and support students as they grow academically and personally.
