Mountain BOCES
Alternative Teacher Licensure
Turn your content knowledge into a teaching credential available to candidates employed by any Colorado school district.
Mountain BOCES provides an alternative teacher pathway to non-licensed educators currently serving as teachers in Colorado schools. The one-year teacher preparation program is unique in that participants can start and complete the program at any time during the year.
*Through the Mountain BOCES program, educators can earn licenses to teach in 21 different Colorado Department of Education approved endorsement areas.
*An exception being the Special Education Generalist endorsement, which must be started by the end of October. Special Education Generalist endorsement candidates must be licensed in another area prior to entering the program.
