Students who have already earned their MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and are seeking the School Social Worker endorsement may take the School-based Social Work course to prepare them to work in schools. In this course, students are prepared to work with various at-risk children including those who have emotional and developmental challenges, abused and neglected youth, their families and caregivers, and support social service agencies. Students will learn about laws and regulations impacting students and schools, effective school-based programming, relationship-building with stakeholders, and skills for inclusive school social work practice.
