The CDE Preschool Special Education Team offers a variety of learning opportunities for preschool and child find personnel across the state to support the inclusion of children with disabilities in early childhood settings. Our goal is to customize professional learning that optimizes resources to effectively meet LEA professional learning needs resulting in improved outcomes for students. Professional learning opportunities are categorized from foundational to intensive.
- The foundations of universal learning in early childhood are the focus of Professional Learning activities that are accessible online and meet the basic needs of early childhood practitioners. They can be universal self-paced learning modules from technical assistance centers or online on demand modules from the CDE Preschool Team.
- Targeted Professional Learning from the CDE Preschool Team is focused on specific content areas in early childhood with CDE facilitation to deepen knowledge and promote inclusive practices.
- Intensive Professional Learning opportunities promote systems change.
