Session Description

Self-advocacy has been identified as important in facilitating success for students with disabilities in accessing accommodations. However, often students lack the "language" to articulate the supports from which they benefit and to which they are entitled. This session with Q&A includes background on self-advocacy and an effective method to teach students with disabilities self-advocacy and conflict resolution skills. Access to resources for this method will be provided.
