Biography

Dr. Terry Croy Lewis, Vice President of School Quality and Support, Colorado League of Charter Schools

Dr. Terry Croy Lewis is the Vice President of School Quality and Support at the Colorado League of Charter Schools. In this role, Terry provides support to both developing school groups as well the League's member schools with the goal of all Colorado charter schools achieving and maintaining high quality in academics, operations, finances and governance.  Additionally, she supports the League’s Health and Wellness programs. Terry comes to the League from High Point Academy (HPA) in Aurora where she was part of the founding team and served as Executive Director for 8 years. Prior to working at HPA, Terry helped to develop other charter schools in Colorado as an independent consultant, as an consultant with a national organization focused on the creation of new charter schools, and as a volunteer. The first charter school she helped found was Platte River Academy which opened its doors in 1997. In total, she has almost 20 years of experience in the charter school world serving as a school leader, founder,  governing board member, and consultant. Terry earned her Ph.D. in Communications from the University of Maryland, and her MA and BS from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
