In Person Training: Fri October 6th, Greeley Education Center
This full day UIP work session will focus on updates and making expectations more relevant in the planning process. Specifically we will dive into the new measures and metrics of the performance framework, review changes to the online UIP and review requirements of the UIP can be addressed in a more meaningful way. The rest of the day will be available for planning teams to enter information into the Online UIP System, connect with CDE staff on specific approaches with their planning process or working how to navigate the Online System.

Morning Session 9 a.m. - noon: Updates for Accountability and Improvement Planning
Description: An overview of updates and changes to Improvement Planning and Accountability for the 2017-18 year. The session will cover expectations for improvement planning , changes to the UIP online system, and how to address commonly identified challenges. Accountability updates will include changes to the Performance Framework report, a description of processes and timelines for accountability processes and data reporting. An update will be provided on the accountability clock. The information from this session can be delivered regionally upon request.
Afternoon Session 1-4 p.m. Online System Administrator Training
Description: This session will provide a how-to of generating reports, exporting information and using tools within the UIP online system. The information will be most useful for district-level users who manage improvement plans across multiple schools (mid-size to large districts). Participants will have access in person support and user guides. The information from this session can be delivered regionally upon request.
In Person Training: Making the Most of Improvement Planning - Wed September 27, Delta, CO
8 am-3 pm
This session will focus on making the most of the Improvement Planning process to get beyond the compliance aspect of planning. Over the course of the work session, school leaders will have the chance to identify how to make the most of the UIP process for the improvements, including completing or revising the plan in the online UIP and exploring opportunities to include health and wellness. The session will also provide an overview of changes to the performance frameworks and the UIP for the 2017-18 school year. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
